Careers hub
Careers Hubs are a central part of the Government’s Careers Strategy and aims to support all secondary schools and Further Education providers to implement high-quality careers guidance to help young people make more informed decisions around their future choices.
The South Yorkshire Careers Hub works in partnership with the Careers and Enterprise Company and the four Local Authorities; Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield, to connect with schools, colleges, training providers, employers and other partners in a meaningful way that will help support young people in the next steps in their educational journey and longer-term career aspirations.
One of the most important strands of the work of South Yorkshire Careers Hub is to connect business and education. Businesses large and small can get involved in one of the may schemes run by the Hub, including opportunities to volunteer for an hour or become and Enterprise Adviser.
